Clean Energy Workforce Training Program

The Recovery Act has opened the door for thousands of Californians to find successful careers in very trying economic times. As an example, $27 million was awarded to 34 organizations through the California Clean Energy Workforce Training Program. This program combines funding from the Recovery Act, the State Energy Program, the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Governor’s Discretionary funds and private and local funds to create what is believed to be the largest green job workforce development program in the nation.
